At the heart of the spectacular five acre setting is The Lodge – a two-story log building offering magnificent views of the mountains and lake, where guests gather to enjoy the local art and cuisine.
Carefully designed by Tonglen Lake Lodge’s founder, Donna Gates, The Lodge has been constructed with huge hand-hewn logs from the Fairbanks area and showcases the works of local artisans.
From the handcrafted log furniture, fine art from across the state, and stained glass crafted by local artists, the Lodge is the embodiment of this uniquely artistic Alaskan community.
Downstairs, the Artisan Café and art gallery is the perfect place to have breakfast or enjoy a beverage or a snack any time of day.
Upstairs, exquisite 360-degree views, beautiful woodwork and exposed natural trusses frame the dining room for our guests to enjoy nightly multi-course dinners as well as the views, and maybe even a live musical performance.
